Characterization of OPS Slag
Using Leitz reflected optical microscope under high-resolution beam.

PROJECT 4

Stream survey and analysis campaign
Half-Hourly composite samples over two-hr continuous operation at 19 selected points in Pb & Zn circuits for - chemical assays - particle size distribution - pulp density - mineralogy

SUMMARY

Major details in the survey samples:
Feed

  • Feed has been observed with Gn 50% and Spl 81% as liberated phase, while both minerals are commonly locked with Gangue in a complex mode

  • ...

Pb Concentrate

  • Gn 89% free while liberated Spl is 52 %. Sphalerite occurred relatively coarser than the galena as  is placed free grain.

  • ...

Pb Tail

  • Galena & sphalerite as liberated at 6% & 75 % respectively.

  • ...

Zn Concentrate

  • Minor amount of liberated gr & gangue is noted up to an extent of 1.60% & 3.9% by volume.

  • ...

Final Tail

  • Liberated Sphalerite occurs upto 0.88% by vol and 23% of sphalerite in sample is liberated.
