EXPLORATION PETROLOGY & ORE MICROSCOPY

HOW OUR LAB WORKS

Dr Navin K Sharma Process Mineralogy Laboratory (Experts in Process Mineralogy) is well prepared to accept your mineral processing test samples and mineralogical programs at a competitive price with high quality to reduce risk and add value to operation through:

  1. Characterization of ore and process mineralogical assessment

  2. Statistical Validation of Plant Trials and mineralogical attributes

  3. Mineralogical evaluation for Plant Support, Start-up and Consulting.

  4. Metallurgical Accounting

  1. A complete Metallurgical (Ore to Metal) evaluation of simple / complex, mono or multimetal ores, contain copper, lead, zinc, silver, cobalt, gold, tungsten, tin,  iron, chromium (in the form of carbonate, sulphate, silicate, hydrosilicate, hydroxide, oxide, sulphosalts or sulphide etc) . We are capable to provide mineralogical characterization of phosphates, rare earths, beach sands or any industrial minerals. We will define detailed mineral proportion, chemical composition of ore with photomicrographic and textural evidences in order to serve client up to utmost satisfaction with followed by discussions.

  2. Similar studies are being offered for clients facing problems such as changes in ore mineralogy and their liberation characteristics , services Also extends for Processing of beach sands other than rock samples.

  3. Contouring of petro graphic/physical mineralogical and chemical properties

  4. Defining the variation in physical and chemical, variability (internal dilution) within the ore body.petro graphic

Exploration Petrology & Ore Microscopy

  1. Prospecting stage

    • Nature of mineralization-chemical composition of the rock hosting ore

    • Interrelationship between ore and surrounding rocks in aspect like geometry

    • Mineralogy and chemistry of the ore mineral in the prospect sample

    • Nature of wall rock and other alterations, including alteration assemblages

    • Systematic prospecting - sampling, based on the above factors

  2. Evaluation stage

    • Test pits to verify the continuation of the ore zone

    • Exploratory drilling studies: Macroscopic, assay, detailed mineralogy and textures, quantitative mineralogical modal analyses, X ray diffraction studies.

  3. Selection of extraction process: Detailed modal analyses of individual rocks specimen and characterization of assorted lithology of the project based on microscopic and megascopic /field features in order to define the genetic evaluation. Identification of Ore minerals, complex minerals with exsolution and replacement textures valueless metallic minerals and gangue minerals, textural relation including grain sizes and interrelation of various ore minerals as well as intergrowth configuration (grain boundary lockings) of valuable minerals. Ore Characterizations of exploration or running mine, samples through petro-mineralogical assessment for Quantitative Mineralogy.
