20x10X MAGNIFICATION, SECTION SHOWING MOST COMMONLY OBSERVED MINERAL UNDER TRANSMITTED LIGHT STUDY.

Grain mount of feed Low grade Skorpion feed. Visible under plane polarized light, particle in liberated form noted are quartz, feldspar, calc-silicate, amphiboles, opaque, limonite, smithsonite, calc-carbonate, micaceous (sericite and biotite) commonly note.

RECOMMENDATION SUMMARY
Given samples are high silica, low in zinc, alumina and iron. Flotation for removal of Zinc bearing mineral may not work as in conventional sulphide flotation of Indian Zinc ore. The existing Skorpion Flow sheet for SX-EW should try with minor modification at the smelting plant.
Simplified Skorpion Flow sheet
-
Base metals, Cl, F
-
Zinc silicate oxide ore Comminution
-
Leach by H2SO4
-
Neutralization by Adding CaCO3 -> for removal of Fe, Al, Si
-
Thickening -> O/F
-
Zn SX ->Base Metal, Cl, F
-
Zn EW
-
SHG Zn cathode (>99.995% Zn)
